An 82-year-old Thedford man has been charged after Lambton OPP say he threatened to harm staff at the Thedford Postal outlet on Tuesday (May 22).
Gordon Stanley Tucker was arrested at his home, where police say they seized a loaded firearm and other restricted fire arms.
The incident leading to the charges of threat to cause death and careless use of a firearm is alleged to have occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Tucker was said to have complained about mail delivery and is alleged to have threatened staff, saying he would return with a firearm and har staff members.
Fearing for their safety, staff locked the outlet after the man left and called police.
Tucker will be required to appear in Sarnia court on later date.
