A bevy of local teams competing in OFSAA soccer finals
Lambton Shores, Uncategorized, Where we live — By JD Booth on June 2, 2011 at 8:24 pmNorthern has won its first two games at the girls “AAA” soccer provincial tournament in Hamilton. The lady Vikings blanked Scarborough-Cardinal Newman, 3-nil and then beat Hamilton-St. Mary, 4-1.
Northern will play schools from London and Kingston on Friday.
Meantime, at the “AA” affair in Windsor, St. Christopher tied Bishop Strachan, 0-0 and beat Beaver Brae, 1-nil.
And at the “A” tournament in Paincourt, Forest-North Lambton lost both its games.
In boys action, St. Christopher beat schools from Guelph and Mississauga by scores of 1-nil and 4-nil on Thursday in the “AA” tournament in Windsor.
Northern lost twice in “AAA” play at Kingston and North Lambton lost one and tied the other in the “A” tournament at Windsor.
