It's going to be a busy couple of days in Oil Springs.
Author Gary May will launch his latest book, “A Scent of Oil” this afternoon (Friday, September 30) at the Oil Museium of Canada between 2 and 4 pm.
Admission is free.
Later in the evening, actors from Petrolia Community Theatre will be strolling in the yard of our National Historic Site in costume to present several fascinating true foreign driller personal stories.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children between 4 and 12, and children three and under are free.
And tomorrow, Saturday, October 1, free public tours will be offered to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Fairbank Oil in the village.
The tours will take place between 1 and 4 pm.
