Bridge Bash 2012 is slated to open up this weekend, promises unparalleled family entertainment

This year's annual Bridge Bash, coined Under the Bridges, is slated to take place this weekend at Point Edward's Bluewater Bridges.

The Point Edward Optimists are inviting everyone to come out for two evenings of entertainment, food and family fun on Jul. 6 and 7.

This yearly event is known for showcasing local musicians and, this year, promises four highly talented bands on each evening.

During the day, there are a number of different activities and vendors available for the whole family.

Bands confirmed this year include 3rd Wave, Rumblefish, Sisters of Soul, The Room, Chemical Valley, Power Supply and Last Call.

The gates open daily at 10 a.m. with entertainment, on both evenings, starting at 6 p.m.

The All Ages Family Area is free and there's a $5 charge for the licensed area.
