Carmen McGregor has been re-elected as chairperson of the Lambton Kent District School Board.
The trustee, who represents North Chatham-Kent and South Lambton, including Dawn-Euphemia, was chosen at the board's inaugural meeting on Tuesday night in Chatham.
In her address to the Board, McGregor remarked on the Board’s accomplishments in the area of student achievement and the provincial recognition the Board has received as a leader in the establishment of relationships with our Four First Nations. She welcomed the three new Trustees to the Board and commented, "I am confident that as a team we will continue to focus on student success and provide the environment and tools that each student needs to achieve their maximum potential."
At the same meeting, Jane Bryce who serves Lambton Shores, Warwick and Plympton-Wyoming, was given a second term as vice-chair of the board.
Also on Tuesday night, David Goldsmith was acclaimed to serve as the board's delegate to the Ontario Public School Boards' Associate.
