Flare training to be held this week at Sarnia Yacht Club
Sarnia Police said the Sarnia Power and Sail Squadron will be conducting flare training, Friday, Apr. 19, at the Sarnia Yacht Club on Fort Street. The training will be conducted between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and the flares being used, police say, will be white in colour.

The county's Community Health Services Department is cautioning Lambton residents with private wells that high water levels and flooding conditions could make their water supply unsafe. Stop for speeding turns into drunk driving charge as well
Lambton OPP say a 54-year-old Sarnia man whose vehicle was pulled over for speeding now faces charges related to drinking and driving. The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 11. The man will appear in court on April 29 to speak to the charges.
Thefts in Sherwood Village
Police said an outbreak of thefts from vehicles has plagued Sherwood Village for the past three days. Several people, police say, have apparently reported thefts from their vehicles between Apr. 9 and today in the Sarnia subdivision.
