Investigators say the cause of a fire that destroyed a building at 450 MacGregor Rd. at an estimated total loss of $1.2 million will remain undetermined.
In a press release, Dave Potts, Sarnia Fire Rescue Services fire prevention officer, said the amount of damage prevented investigators from pinpointing the cause.
The fire, which was reported at 6:10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, destroyed the premises of two businesses, a sandblasting firm and a body shop.
The Office of the Fire Marshall for Ontario investigated the aftermath and made the determination.
