Chamber meets with Queen’s Park officials in two days of presentations

On Wednesday, Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey and the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce wrapped up two busy days highlighting the strengths and opportunities of Sarnia-Lambton’s local economy to legislators and business leaders at Queen’s Park.
Lead by Chamber of Commerce Chair Mike Elliott, and President Garry McDonald, Bailey and a large group of representatives engaged in two days of meetings with Ministers, Government Officials, and Opposition Members. On Wednesday, Bailey and the Chamber of Commerce officials were special guests of the TMX Group, and given the unique honour of officially opening the Toronto Stock Exchange.
A well-attended reception followed at Queen’s Park highlighting the successful businesses and innovative development that is taking place in Sarnia-Lambton.
The impressive group of organizations and businesses participating in the meetings and receptions included: the UWO Research Park; Nova Chemicals; The Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership; Tourism Sarnia Lambton; The Lambton Federation of Agriculture; Lambton College; Scotiabank; Suncor; the County of Lambton; The Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board; Ice Clear Photography; Steeves & Rozema; The Township of Brooke-Alvinston; Munro Honey & Meadery; Twin Pines; The Victoria Playhouse; The Grand Bend Chamber of Commerce; and Bayfest.
Terry Doyle and TV Cogeco – Sarnia Cable 6, were also in attendance to capture footage for upcoming episodes of the popular monthly show The Queen’s Park Report.
