Colts win provincial hoops opener

The St. Clair Colts scored 21 first quarter points en route to a 55-48 victory over Peterborough-Holy Cross on Thursday afternoon at the provincial “AA” high school basketball tournament in Sarnia.

Riley Williams led the Colts with 18 points, while Samantha Kaldeway added 13 points.

St. Clair, the second seed in the 18-team tournament, plays again Friday at 1:00 p.m. against Toronto-Monsignor Percy Johnson at the Northern gym.
