Crossword Tournament on Saturday in Sarnia

It's hosting a Crosswood Puzzle Tournament.

Registration begins at 2:30 pm.

Tickets are available by calling the Organization for Literacy in Lambton at 519-332-4876 or the Bookkeeper at 519-3171 and will also be available at the door.

Organizers are expecting between 20 and 30 participants.

Proceeds will go children's literacy programs.

 

2:30-3:00 – Sign-in - refreshments sponsored by Tim Horton’s

3:00-3:15 - Puzzle #1    (Monday-level crossword, 15 minutes allowed)

3:30-3:45 – Puzzle #2    (Tuesday-level crossword, 15 minutes allowed)

3:45-4:45 – BBQ (Hot dogs, hamburgers and refreshments)

5:00-5:30 – Puzzle #3    (Wednesday-level crossword, 30 minutes allowed)

5:45-6:15 – Puzzle #4    (Thursday-level crossword, 30 minutes allowed)

6:30-7:00 – Winners are announced and prizes are awarded.

Puzzles are New York Times puzzles which will be published after the date of the tournament.

Puzzles increase in difficulty. Scoring is based on accuracy and time taken.
