Driver charged with being over the legal limit after complaints called into police
Crime, Lambton County, Point Edward — By Joe Burd on April 19, 2012 at 9:17 amLambton OPP was called Apr. 17 at around 11:30 a.m. to a suspicious vehicle parked on Michigan Avenue. A female was found in the driver seat.
Police said when she was spoken to, it was clear that she was impaired by alcohol and was arrested for care and control. Open liquor was also allegedly found in the vehicle.
Subsequent breath tests revealed that the female driver, 47, from Sarnia was over the legal limit.
She is slated to appear in Sarnia court on Jun. 4 to answer charges of Impaired Care or Control, and Being over the Legal Limit.
