Driver slowing for deer near roadway is hit from behind
Feature, Lambton County — By JD Booth on October 20, 2012 at 10:29 amA 51-year-old London man suffered a serious leg injury in a two vehicle crash on Mandaumin Road Thursday (Oct. 18).
OPP say the crash occurred shortly before 6 p.m. when a 2008 Dodge Caravan heading north on Mandaumin south of Lakeshore Road slowed as a result of the driver, 59-year-old Nora Maher of Sarnia, seeing a deer approaching the roadway.
David Bonnema was driving a 1999 Honda, which struck the Caravan from behind. He was initially taken to hospital in Sarnia and then transferred to London.
Maher was uninjured. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
