Erratic driving leads to impaired driver

Lambton OPP said that at around 2 a.m. on Jun. 20, an officer flagged down the driver of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Wellington after it was seen to strike the curb.

The female driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and arrested.

The driver was brought to the Petrolia OPP Detachment for have her breath tested, but she failed to provide two suitable samples as is required by law.

Petrolia resident Kelly Thompson, 34, will appear in court to face charges of Impaired Driving and Failing to Provide Breath Samples.

She's scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on Jul. 9.
