Flags outscore comets in Junior ‘C’ hockey

Adam Little had the hat trick and Donny Bowling added a pair of goals to lead the Mooretown Flags to an 8-6 victory over the Comets on Sunday in Great Lakes Junior “C” Hockey League action in Kingsville.
Tyler Prong had three assists for Mooretown and Jordan Gladwish was strong between the pipes making 39 saves as the visitors were outshot, 45-35 on the evening.
The same two teams play at the Moore Sports Complex on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Elsewhere, Alvinston beat Dresden, 4-1 on Friday night. Chris Edwards had the game winner for the Flyers late in the second period.
Alvinston travels to Essex on Tuesday, before returning home to host Kingsville on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
