Four THOUSAND stories and counting—LambtonShield.com carries on

I was just about to make what I consider a "routine" post (AKA story) when I noticed the odometer on the dashboard of our website system had turned over to another significant milepost.

Yes, 4,000 posts are now online—and will stay there.

It occurred to me that this might be nice time to remind those who have been with us from the very beginning (Nov. 15, 2010) and those who may be still discovering one of Sarnia-Lambton's best sources for keeping in touch with local news (not the stuff that appears in newspapers around the province) that there's quite a bit of locally oriented news being generated.

And we have a home for it, not just the police and council stuff (we do that too) but stories like the one we published over the weekend about Carolyn McFadden, an oncology nurse at Bluewater Health who is also a de Souza nurse, specializing in cancer care.

Or the dozens of stories that we've carried by Bob McCarthy, a former teacher and avid local historian whose series "Voices from Lambton's Past" has been running weekly since almost our very beginning.

They're still online and available for your enjoyment.

And there's room for more interesting stories. Perhaps you have one or know someone we can connect with to pass it along.

Just let me know,
