HallowCross arrives in Canatara Park this Saturday

HallowCross Sarnia is pleased to present its third annual cyclocross.  Sarnia’s only cyclocross race will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Canatara Park beginning at noon.  This cycling race will have a men’s and women’s division, each with the chance to win one of the legendary HallowCross Pumpkins.

 

Cyclocross is a unique type of bike race where the racers ride road-style bikes through grass, gravel, sand and tarmac and at certain spots are required to dismount and shoulder their bikes over barriers.  The event is fun to do, and fun to watch! 

 

The event is sanctioned by Ontario Cycling and interested participants can register online at ontariocycling.org or at the event on Saturday, October 27.  The registration fee is $25 to participate though it is free to attend and cheer on your favourite rider. 

 

Event sponsors include the Bicycle Shop, Coffee Lodge, Storyboard, MacKenzie Milne Safety and Industrial Supplies and Revolution Bicycle Shop.
