Hanki, Jerri, (Nov. 21, 2011)

On November 21, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Jerri Hanki (87) passed away peacefully unto the loving care of our Lord Jesus Christ, after a long and courageous battle.

Jerri was predeceased by her devoted husband Harold (2004). Loved mother of Paul (Pat) of Prince George, BC, Gale (Carlos Mota), Mike (Judy) and Steve. Cherished grandmother of Marianne, Danielle, Mark, John, Katharyn, Cindy, Laura, Cassandra, and great-grandmother of David, Isabelle, Andrew, Cash, Leo, Lila and Seth. Also survived by her sister Alice as well as nieces and nephews.

Jerri will be missed and her loss will be grieved by many dear friends and family.

Her life was dedicated to her commitment to faith and church, and this was reflected in her involvement in the community, her friendships, her charitable works and sacrifice. Jerri lived by her Catholic virtues every day until her last breath.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron, Sarnia. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
