Hey Ocean! makes tour stop at Paddy Flaherty’s

Hey Ocean!, a young, self-formed band from Vancouver, is playing a gig at Paddy Flaherty’s.
The group, with a talent for combining various music styles to form a blend of pop and their own unique style, band consists of Ashleigh Bell, who is vocals and occasionally flute, David Beckingham, who is vocals and guitar, and Dave Vertesi who is vocals and plays bass.
Hey Ocean! may started as a casual musical partnership between friends but in less than four years turned into one of Canada’s most successful independent bands.
The band even has their own label, Pop Machine, and their efforts have definitely been recognized in the industry. In 2010 they teamed up with Polaris Prize nominee Shad for dates across the country and rocked thousands of fans along Bedouin Soundclash.
Hey Ocean! has even wowed audiences at the Calgary Virgin Festival, the Saskatoon Jazz Fest and Whistler Arts Festival.
They have tour dates all across Canada this year. It is safe it say, it is a very big deal they are coming to Sarnia. Tickets are only $15 at Paddy’s and their performance will begin at 10 p.m.
