HODGSON, John G. – (August 11, 1943 – May 10, 2012). John was born in Sarnia, the son of the late Jack M. and Blanche (Rollins) Hodgson. John was also predeceased by his former wife, Margaret Joyce, sister-in-law Shirley Huxted, brothers- in-law Gary Huxted, Maurice Joyce and Ray Tomlin. John leaves his two daughters, Janet and Joanne and three granddaughters, Lynne Anderson of Petrolia, Amanda and Amy Worsley of Windsor. Also surviving are his brother Dean, sisters Donna and Della of Sarnia, Judith and her husband Geoff Sutherland of Kelowna, BC. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. John Hodgson loved to fish and hunt. He loved to travel to the Temagami District and troll the lakes with his many friends in that area. John also lived in the Rainy River District for several years where he did most of his hunting. John was a man who was mechanically inclined and loved to fix and repair. John spent much of his spare time repairing problems for his brother Dean and many of his relatives and friends. John was a very talented individual who worked at various times as an equipment operator, a mechanic, welder, plumber and millwright but spent most of his forty-five year working life in the farm draining business. Cremation has taken place and at John's request, there will be no visitation. Arrangements by the D.J. Robb Funeral Home.
