Kerwin, Kenneth John ‘KK,’ (July 10, 2012)

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving husband, father, papa and brother, Kenneth John Kerwin “KK” at his home on July 10, 2012 at the age of 64.

Ken leaves cherished memories to his wife Linda of 31 years, daughters Tammy Kerwin (Mark), Sharrie (Andy) Wing, daughter Stacey (John) Schiestel, son Robert (Tina) Ayers, daughter Kim Bridekirk, grandchildren Ashley Thibert (Jay), Caleb and Ella Schiestel, Austin and Kiera Ayers, Kyle and Sarah Wing, Jonathon, Michael and Chrystal Kell and great granddaughter Maddison Thibert, his sister Sherrie Pahel, his brother-in-law Jerry Kennedy, Ron (Carolyn) Kennedy, nieces and nephews Kim Wehner, John (Shannon) Rademacher, Carrie Cote, Chris (Amanda) Cote, Tara (Adam) Melville, Jessica (Ian) Tower and Colton Kennedy. Good friend and buddy to Bob Kendrew. 

Predeceased by his parents Kenneth Sr. and Evelyn Kerwin and sister Deborah Cote.
Ken was a steamfitter through (Local 663) known by his buddies as “KK” at the union hall and on job sites. Ken has touched many lives with his sense of humour, jokes, wisdom and kindness. He enjoyed people and always stated “I have no enemy’s just friends that I have not met yet”.
Our family wished to thank the palliative care team, especially Ken’s nurse Robyn for their support and guidance and especially for their compassion and gentleness with Ken so that he could remain at our home as he wished. Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 13, 2012 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Ken’s life on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sarnia.
