Lambton County Council will deliberate budget March 21

A draft budget presented to Lambton County Council will likely face a great deal of scrutiny as elected officials from throughout the county delve into a budget that unchanged would result in a 3% increase in taxes.

That doesn't include grant requests that are on the table—nearly $600,000 in new spending that would include a raise to Tourism Sarnia-Lambton ($99,000).

Councillors will hear of any additions to the draft budget document when they meet March 7. Budget day is March 21.
