Lambton OPP: High winds causal factor in roll-over collision

Crime, Lambton County — By on June 22, 2012 at 3:34 pm

High winds coupled with heavy rain as a storm front rolled through Lambton is determined as a causal factor in a 402 crash around 5:25 p.m. on Jun. 21.

At that time, a pick-up was pulling a full size house trailer east on Highway 402 near Oil Heritage Road. Sudden high winds coupled with heavy rain caused the 51 year old driver to lose control of the unit. The truck and trailer first sideswiped a passing vehicle and then flipped onto its side.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Highway 402 was restricted to one lane in the area for the next few hours while clean up was carried out.
