Lambton OPP seeking public assistance with identifying suspects

Point Edward Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a group of teens that caused over $4,000 damage to Village property.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Jun. 11 a group of four teens were seen damaging the globes to light standards along the walking path from Alfred St to Michigan Avenue.

In all, nine globes were smashed. The total estimated damage exceeds $4,000.

Police said the suspects had left the area prior to police investigating and were last seen outside the Tim Horton’s store on Exmouth east of Front St.

They are all described as being in their teens, approximately 16 years of age.

  1. Female, Caucasian,  wearing short cut off jeans with a black and white tank top, dark brown hair and carrying a skateboard.
  2. Male, Caucasian, black cut off jeans to the knee, blonde hair and wearing no shirt.
  3. Male, darker skinned, short dark hair, plaid swim shorts and a T-shirt.
  4. Male, darker skinned, short dark hair, plaid swim shorts and a T-shirt.

Lambton OPP is asking the public that if anyone has any information that could assist in determining who is responsible, they are asked to call Point Edward OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
