Lambton Shores mayor wants council to have ‘open and transparent discussion’ about sewage plant report
Lambton County, Lambton Shores — By JD Booth on February 1, 2012 at 11:01 amLambton Shores Mayor Bill Weber is hoping for an "open and transparent discussion" at a special meeting of Lambton Shores council Thursday regarding the ramifications of council's earlier decision not to proceed with a Tri-County Sewage Treatment plan that expired Jan. 31.
Staff at Lambton Shores has been asked to determine if the deadline can be extended.
Weber said he is concerned about the implications for the future if the municipality does not develop the infrastructure for handling future growth. "There's a lot at stake here. The meeting the other day was 10 minutes long and we didn't get into the report. I'm hoping we can have a discussion about what's in the report and what the ramifications are," said Weber.
