Lambton tops Fanshawe in college basketball

Rob Pierce had 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lambton Lions to a 67-63 victory over the 6th-ranked Fanshawe Falcons in men's college basketball on Wednesday night in London.

Victor McGinnis added 13 points for the Lions, while Orlando Palmer chipped in with 11 points.

Lambton, now 4-3, will host two the top ranked teams in the province this weekend at the Sarnia campus gym.

Oakville-based Sheridan College will visit on Saturday at 4 p.m., while Toronto's Humber College comes to town on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Humber is ranked second by the OCAA, while Sheridan is ranked fourth.

Meantime, the Lambton women's volleyball team fell to 2-7 on the season, losing in straight sets to Fanshawe.
