Local athletes win 14 medals at the OFSAA Track and Field Championships

Sarnia-Lambton athletes won 14 medals, including four golds at the OFSSA High School Track and Field Championships at Laurentian University in Sudbury over the past three days.

Brelan Bramwell of Northern took top prize in the men's 100 metre race, while Brittany Lewis of St. Clair and Northern's Katie Fleischer won the women's 400 metre hurdles and 3000 metre race respectively. Lewis was also second in the girls 400 metre race and Fleischer was runner up in the 1500 metre event.
The other gold went to the Northern 4×400 metre men's relay team.
Other silver medals went to Caroline Hummell of St. Clair in the Midget Girls Shot Put, Nick Zotti of Northern in the Junior Boys Discuss and Jenna Bolton of Petrolia in the Midget Girls Javelin.
Bronze medal winners were Brett Storr of St. Clair in the Midget Boys 100 metre hurdles, Brandon Wong of Alexander MacKenzie in the Boys 100 metre ambulatory race, Matt Withers of Petrolia in the Midget Boys Javelin, Oliva Prins of St. Pat's in the Midget Girls Javelin and the Petrolia Midget Girls 4×100 metre relay team.
