Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey says the McGuinty government should keep its hands off its "Slots at Racetracks" program, an investment that he says has so far generated some $1.5 billion in economic growth across the province.

Today at a rally in support of the Ontario horse racing industry, Sarnia-Lambton MPP, Bob Bailey said provincial support for the industry has generated money, especially in rural areas, that deserves continued support. "In 2011, business generated by members of the Horse Racing Industry paid another $261 million to the provincial treasury," said Bailey. "Facilities like Sarnia-Lambton’s Hiawatha Racetrack have worked with the Government of Ontario for decades to provide revenue, jobs, and entertainment in communities across the province. This is an important industry that provides thousands of real jobs for Ontarians."
