McRae, Marilyn ‘Mimi’, (May 3, 2012)

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, May 3, 2012, Marilyn “Mimi” McRae passed away at the age of 60. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert “Bob” McRae. Loving and devoted mother of Robyne McRae and her husband Troy Kilmister and Ryan McRae. Dear sister of Elizabeth (John) Urquhart, Donna (Paul) Clendenning, Joan (Dave) LeClair, Kathy (Pat) Gray, Cindy (Warren) Pickering, Bill (Dianne) Caldwell and John (Carrie) Caldwell. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her parents Robin and Irene Caldwell. 
Mimi loved her career with Lambton Rural Childcare where she helped raise many children with her love, compassion, and guidance, for over 30 years. 
A special thank you to Dr. Maddison, the nurses, staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice and to the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health for their care and compassion.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 7, 2012, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Marilyn’s life on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation is to follow.
