Mercer, Joan Elaine, (April 20, 2012)

At Sumac Lodge on Friday April 20, 2012, JOAN ELAINE MERCER age 84 of Sarnia, beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Irene Mercer. Dear aunt of Joan Platt and her husband Richard of Brights Grove, Tim Meads and his wife Mary Ann of Sarnia, Ernie Meads and his wife Hope of Corunna and Mike Meads and his wife Fatima of Vaughan. Sister-in-law of George Meads of Sarnia. A lifelong Sarnia resident, Joan was pre-deceased by a sister Naomi Irene Meads. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and parishioners at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church where she served for many years with the Catholic Women’s League. Visitation at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., then to ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (Devine & Stuart Sts.) where funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. by Father Tony Laforet. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Charity of Choice. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Sumac Lodge for the tender loving care provided to Joan over the past few years.
