Mooretown Flags win Junior “C” contest at Sarnia Arena
Brooke-Alvinston, St. Clair, Uncategorized, Where we live — By JD Booth on October 7, 2011 at 10:40 amThe Mooetown Flags jumped out to a 5-0 lead midway through the second period and coasted to an 8-4 win over Alvinston in Great Lakes Junior “C” Hockey League action before 332 fans at the Sarnia Arena last night.
Jeff Schroeter and Michael Gray scored twice each for the Flags, who have now won five straight games. Josh Teschke added three assists.
Joe Archer scored twice for the Flyers.
Mooretown now leads the North Division standings with a 5-2 record. Alvinston is 4-2.
Wheatley visits Mooretown tomorrow night (Saturday, October 8) at 7:30, while Alvinston has the weekend off. Its next contest is in Wallaceburg next Wednesday (October 12)
