New area physician recruitment coordinator has insight into what doctors want
Feature, Health, Sarnia — By JD Booth on January 22, 2012 at 5:54 pmChances are Andrea Hynes has a pretty good idea of what prospective local doctors might be looking for in a community, an insight she'll be applying to her new job as the area's physician recruitment coordinator.
The insight comes at least in part from the fact that Hynes is the daughter of a local physician, Dr. Brian Hynes.
A native of Plympton-Wyoming, Andrea Hynes received a master's degree in arts from the University of Dublin before returning to the area. She most recently did an internship at the Buewater Health Foundation office. She also went to school at Lambton College, St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and St. Thomas University in New Brunswick.
She took on her new duties as physician recruitment coordinator effective Jan. 16. Her predecessor, Cindy Scholten, has taken a position with the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce.
