"Moving Forward" is the theme of this year's National Victims of Crime Awareness Week, taking place across Canada from April 22-28, 2012.
Activities around the country will focus on raising awareness of services available to victims of crime in Canada, as well as further exploring new ways to reach out to victims of crime to let them know their experience matters and that there are organizations like Victim Services of Sarnia Lambton looking after them.
Victim Services of Sarnia Lambton has teamed up with Sarnia Police Services, Big Brothers of Sarnia Lambton, the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, Family Counselling Centre, the Sexual Assault Survivors Centre and the Ontario Provincial Police to host the 3nr Annual Stand Up Man Award Breakfast on April 25, 2012.
A full hot breakfast buffet and a short speech from someone who will talk about “moving forward” after their personal experience with crime. Also at the breakfast we will present the “Stand Up Man” award.
