Northern Vikings advance to the Western Bowl semi-finals in London
Uncategorized, Where we live — By JD Booth on November 21, 2011 at 12:22 pmThe Northern Vikings, now ranked ninth in the country, await their opponent in the Western Bowl semi-finals after the Vikings knocked off Windsor-Herman, 19-16 on Friday night at the University of Windsor in the SWOSSA title game.
It's the second time in the past three seasons that Northern has beaten Herman for the crown.
Northern (9-0) will play either Guelph or Brantford in the Western Bowl Final Four on Friday afternoon in London.
If the Vikings win that contest they will advance to the OFSSA Western Bowl Final next Tuesday (November 29) at the Rogers Centre in Toronto against the winner of the other semi-final between London-Lucas and St. Thomas-Parkside. That game is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Meantime, St. Christopher's season came to a close on Saturday as they fell 35-1 to Wallaceburg in the SWOSSA “AA” semi-finals in Wallaceburg.
