When one lucky recipient of the winning ticket for Bluewater Health Foundation's Dream Home Lottery takes possession of the brand new home at 481 First Avenue, Petrolia, they'll have the added satisfaction of knowing they (or the one who gave them the ticket) are supporting health care in the region.
Now in its 16th year, the Dream Home Lottery has a prize board worth $450,000, which includes several cash prizes (in addition to the home, built by Iacobelli Construction Ltd. and initially valued at $375,000).
An early-bird draw includes an additional 300 tickets to be given away. That is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at the Bluewater Health Foundation office (steps away from the entrance to the hospital's Norman site, accessed off Maria St.)
Some 7,600 tickets have been printed, with 300 of those reserved for the early bird giveaway.
Final draw for the home will be Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 in the Bluewater Health atrium at 9 a.m.
Tickets this year continue to cost $100 and are available at a variety of locations, including the Norman site foundation office, patient registration at the CEE site, area banks and credit unions, Shoppers Drug Mart, Gamble Insurance (all offices), Flowers by Bill Bush, Brush Strokes Interiors, Kay's Petals & Plants (in Corunna), Randy's Home Hardware (Wyoming), and Team Outfitters.
Tickets will also be available for sale at Open Houses for the Dream Home, held every Saturday and Sunday now through Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
