One big difference for Lambton College CEO: her focus on external issues
Sarnia — By JD Booth on May 31, 2012 at 10:41 pmWhen Judith Morris became Lambton College's first female president and CEO on Jan. 1 of this year, she quickly transitioned from a role that was almost entirely internal (vice president of academic and student success) to one that's decidedly external in its focus.
As Morris explained to LambtonShield.com, it wasn't so much a surprise as an abrupt transition.
And while she misses the interaction with faculty and staff that she had before, Morris also understands that the role she has as the face of Lambton College is one that only the president can fulfill.
Morris says Lambton College continues to focus on increasing the number of students it has in various programs, a strategy that she says continues to take shape.
Tomorrow: More on the efforts Judith Morris is making to work with the Sarnia-Lambton community, including connecting with businesses like the one building the first new plant Chemical Valley has seen in years.
