OPP investigating fatal one-vehicle crash in Brooke-Alvinston

Lambton OPP are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in a 47-year-old woman from Petrolia, the only occupant of the vehicle involved, being pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. when the vehicle, eastbound on Petrolia Line between Forest Road and Inwood Road, left the roadway and colided with a tree on the north side of the road.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team has been called in to assist with the investigation and traffic is expected to be detoured around the scene until the investigation is completed.
