OPP investigating threats made to staff, students at Brooke-Alvinston school
ALERT, Brooke-Alvinston — By JD Booth on March 2, 2012 at 4:51 pm
Several officers from Lambton OPP are currently at the Brooke Central Public School located at 7989 Brooke Line, responding to what they say was a disturbing phone call to the school made from an unknown caller at around 2:30 pm.
The caller, believed to be a male, indicated that harm would be done to many students and school staff. There was no indication as to how this would be carried out.
Officers are at the school checking all vehicles including school buses that are there for the afternoon dismissal. The interior of the school is being cleared for any unusual items or suspicious packages.
The children will be dismissed from school as usual once the buses they will be travelling on are thoroughly inspected. Their departure may be delayed temporarily.
The investigation is continuing.
