OPP lay stunt driving charges as well as possession of a controlled substance

Lambton OPP say an 18-year-old Petrolia man faces "stunt driving" charges as well as possession of a controlled substance.

The incident leading to the charges occurred Saturday evening. Police say they stopped a Dodge pickup truck on Petrolia Line in the area of Black Ash Road after clocking the vehicle at more than 50 km/h in a posted 90 km/h area.

Police say they found what they believe to be marijuana and charged the driver as well as an 18-year-old female passenger with possession.

Both will appear in a Sarnia court on Dec. 19, 2011.
