OPP report rural theft of tools, electronics, cash

Lambton OPP are currently investigating a rural break and enter to a Euphemia Township property in the 900 block of Johnston Road property where they say as much as $15,000 in property was stolen.
The alleged theft occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, said an OPP news release.

An eyewitness reports seeing a suspicious silver van in the area around noon.

OPP are asking anyone with knowledge of the break and enter to contact Lambton OPP or Crimestoppers.

Several items as well as cash and jewellery were stolen from the home and an exterior shed. The items taken include a 54-inch Panasonic LCD television still in the box, a 37-inch Samsung LCD television, three jewellery boxes containing gold rings, earrings, diamond ring, bracelets and necklaces, and $200 of older Canadian currency.
Also stolen were a Toshiba laptop computer, a Canon digital camera, an iPod Touch and docking station, an older model Kenwood CD player, a dartboard, an air compressor with three different size nail guns, a Dremmel rotary tool kit, a Ryobi router bit set, and a Stihl chainsaw with 18-inch blade.
