Lambton OPP says it is investigating a barricaded person incident that occurred in the 900 block of White Line around 6:30 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 12) at 6:30 p.m.
When police were called to check on the well being of a 44-year-old St. Clair Township man, he initially refused to come out or speak to police but has since surrendered.
The West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and West Region Canine were called in to assist with the investigation.
In the interest of public safety, police closed White Line between Highway 40 and Indian Creek Road for several hours overnight. The local residents were also notified of the situation.
White Line is expected to remain closed while OPP continues the investigation. OPP is asking people to avoid the area while it works to resolve the incident
