OPP stop vehicle in Enniskillen, drug charges laid
Enniskillen, Lambton County — By JD Booth on October 3, 2011 at 10:04 amLambton OPP say what started as a traffic stop ended up with five people, including the driver of the vehicle, facing drug charges.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at around 9:30 p.m., was on Petrolia Line in the area of Oil Heritage Road. Police say that while speaking with the driver and passengers, quantities of suspected marijuana were discovered in the vehicle.
The driver and passengers, ranging from 19 to 21 years old, have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. Two of those in the vehicle also face charges of Failing to Abide by a Court Order.
All will appear in a Sarnia court on Nov. 14, 2011.
