Arts/Entertainment/Culture — By JD Booth on October 23, 2012 at 10:39 amThe first ever Doors Open Lambton County event is being called a success. Organizers say thousands of guests from across Lambton County, southwestern Ontario and outside the province toured over 90 facilities of local historical and cultural significance.
“Some residences in Sarnia received upwards of 400 visitors,” says Steering Committee Chair Dana Thorne. “We wish to thank all of the hosts, volunteers and sponsors who made helped make this event so enjoyable for our guests.”
The event, September 29 and 30, also saw nearly 250 people tour the Oil Museum of Canada in Oil Springs and almost 900 go through Nemo Hall in Petrolia. The Jones House in Forest saw almost 350 visitors.
