Pacers keep playoff hopes alive with win in Wallaceburg
Sports, Where we live — By JD Booth on June 16, 2011 at 10:48 amSix unanswered goals in the second period broke open a close game and propelled the Sarnia Pacers to a 13-8 road victory in Wallaceburg last night.
Lance Ross and Chad Zonneville led Sarnia with two goals each, while Dan Charlton added a goal and four assists.
Clint Lamarsh had three goals and two assists in a losing cause for the Red Devils.
Justin Matthews made 40 saves for the Pacers, including 18 in the third period.
Sarnia is now 6-12 and just two points behind London for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Pacers play at Niagara on Saturday and then host Welland on Sunday at 4 pm at the Clearwater Arena to close our the regular season.
Meantime, London travels to Welland on Saturday and then entertains Windsor in a regular season finale on Sunday night.
