Petrolia Squires senior hockey wins seventh straight game beating Lucan

Jason McPhail scored three times and added two assists to lead the Petrolia Squires to an 8-3 win at Lucan in Western Ontario Senior hockey on Saturday night.

Petrolia improved its record to 13-3 with its seventh consecutive victory and pulled to within three points of Tavistock for first place in the South division. Petrolia also has a game in hand.

Mike Gardner, Brad Cooper, Jeremiah Goodacres, J.J. Martin and Jason Polera also scored the Squires.

Petrolia’s next game is Friday, Dec. 10 when Goderich comes calling for an 8 ┬áp.m. game at the Greenwood Recreation Centre.

Elsewhere on the weekend, Milverton outscored Thedford, 5-3.

Thedford travels to Lucan next Saturday night.
