Sarnia Police say they have a 24-year-old male in custody who faces charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
Police first saw the man, identified as Tyler John Rankin of Sarnia, around 8:30 a.m. on May 20. He was said to be on a bicycle with a back pack and duffel bag in the area of Queen and Devine.
While the suspect tried to elude police by ditching the duffel bag and bike, he was eventually arrested at his last known address on Euphemia Street.
Inside the duffel bag, police found drills of various makes and models as well as a saw. The bike was also discovered to be stolen, all from an address in the south end of the city. Rankin was held for bail.
