Police execute search warrant, man being held on weapons and drug charges
Sarnia — By JD Booth on September 7, 2012 at 10:30 amSarnia Police say its Vice Unit executed a search warrant at a house in the 300 block of Collingwood Thursday night (Sept. 6), seizing an array of drugs and firearms as well as other weapons that included a loaded 12-gauge shotgun.
Police have arrested a 45-year-old Sarnia man who is being held for bail on 13 charges, including various firearms offenses and possession of marijuana, cocaine, Oxycodone and hydromorphine, all said to be for the purpose of trafficking.
No one else was home at the time of the search, say police, who added that several rounds of ammunition was found No one else was home at the time of the execution of the warrant, however, several rounds of various types of ammunition was found, Police also said they found a loaded .22 calibre bolt-action rifle as well as a number of crossbows.
