On Jul. 13, Sarnia Police responded to a residence on Southern Avenue to take a report of a break and enter to a residential home. The house had allegedly been ransacked with drawers and cupboards opened and furniture moved about. A 60-year-old woman and her grandson had slept thru the incident.

A back door had apparently been left open and allegedly taken from the home was a Play Station 3, two cell phones, two laptops, some jewelry and alcohol. The Forensic Identification Branch was also on the scene to process any evidence. Police believe this crime occurred sometime between 4 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Jul. 13.

On Jul. 15 at about 4 a.m., Sarnia Police responded to an alarm call in the 500-block of Murphy Road to investigate another alleged break and enter.

Officers arrived and found two front doors smashed on two separate businesses in the same plaza. A search inside did not find anyone, however cash had been removed from the registers. A rock was used to break the glass in both doors.

Police ask that if you have any information on any of these crimes, to please call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or Sarnia Police at 519-344-8861.
