Police say they’ve warned company about ‘high pressure’ sales tactics

Lambton OPP say although they've warned a door-to-door water heater salesman to ease up on high pressure sales tactics, residents need to take control.

"Do not let them in," said police in a media release regarding anyone wanting to sell a product or service. "Obtain any literature they have regarding their product, identification and then take the time to investigate if this alternative is what you are interested in. You can then call the company directly and make those arrangements."

The incidents allegedly occurred in Oil Springs and Oil City and included an elderly woman unwittingly signing a contract, which has since been cancelled.
