‘Revenge’ a community theatre delight in Petrolia’s Victoria Hall
Arts/Entertainment/Culture, Feature — By jd on December 1, 2011 at 11:44 pmDoug Wright has penned a winner in "Revenge of the Three Little Pigs," a production of Petrolia Community Theatre which is playing at Victoria Hall with an opening last night (Dec. 1) and productions Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. plus a 2 p.m. presentation on Sun., Dec. 4.
Directed by Bonnie Harris (also a Courtier) with choreography by Maureen Grandis (who is also Little Pig #3), the play features Steve Carapiet as the Busker, Hanna Haveman as Princess Ella, Joey Hawkins as Ethelwolf, Charlene Mumberson as Queen Cindy and Doug Wright as King Charming.
In the story, Queen Cinderella and King Charming rule Fairytale land but are caught up in their own problems: a rebellious daughter pursuing a Hollywood romance with a handsome but unsuitable commoner and Cinderella's stepmother, who is draining the royal treasury. But we won't spoil it for you.
Other cast members include Megan Douglas as the Girl With Glasses, Emma Hollingsworth as Paige the Page, Liam Milligan as Alfred, and Carol Graham and Carla Rankin as Courtiers.
Danna Andrade is Queen Bee; Little Bees include Kristy Brooks Van Meenen, Bethany Hornblower, Emily Hornblower, Julia Hornblower, Gillian Johnston and Sydney Topliffe.
Lyn Faulds is Martha Ville and Rebekah Hornblower and Sarah Hornblower play the Horse (back and front respectively).
Dancers Alyson Jagt and Emilie Jagt round out the cast.
