Two members of the Sarnia Sting have been named to Team OHL that will take on Team Russia in the Subway Super Series next month.
Brett Ritchie and Nathan Chiarlitti will both suit up for the game in Ottawa on November 10 and Ritchie will also play in the game in Sault St. Marie on November 14.
Ritchie, a second round draft choice of the Dallas Stars in June 2011, has three goals and four assists in 10 games this season, while Chiarlitti, the team captain, has notched two goals and two assists in 13 games and sports the second best plus/minus rating on the team at plus eight.
In other Sting news, the team has announced that Davis Brown, a third round pick in May's OHL draft from the Elgin-Middlesex minor hockey system, has agreed to terms with the team.
Brown leads the Strathroy Rockets Junior “B” team this season with 12 goals and 21 points in 15 games.
The Sting is in Sault St. Marie tonight (Wednesday, Octobet 26) looking for revenge, following a 5-2 setback to the Greyhounds last Thursday night at the RBC Centre in Sarnia.
